Job summary

EssilorLuxottica in Santa Fe Springs, CA, is seeking a Maintenance Technician (2nd Shift) to perform preventative and corrective maintenance on facility equipment to support production. The role requires hands-on electrical and mechanical troubleshooting, adherence to safety SOPs, and coordination with the maintenance team to minimize downtime.

A High School diploma and 3+ years of related experience are expected; PLC knowledge and CMMS experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School education or equivalent required. Associate degree in related field preferred.
• 3+ years previous related experience and/or training with proven ability to troubleshoot manufacturing equipment both electronically and mechanically required.
• Knowledge in the use of electronic test equipment preferred (multimeter, amp meter).
• Basic understanding of PLC operation preferred.
• Proficient in the use of a computerized maintenance management system.
• Ability to read and interpret schematic diagrams preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs preventative maintenance on facility equipment; troubleshoots and repairs tools and equipment to maintain manufacturing schedules and/or needs.
• Completes general facility maintenance, e.g. painting, cleaning, light construction, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, mechanical.
• Disassembles, cleans, tests, adjusts, tunes and repairs all equipment both mechanically and electrically to maintain quality standards.
• Performs minor electronic repair, calibration, alignment; proper daily set-up and calibration of equipment.
• Use a variety of hand and power tools in performing machine, building, and grounds maintenance.
• Perform and record daily and periodic safety audits to determine if anything does not meet requirements.
• Assist in the administration, development, promotion, education, training and support of safety initiatives.
• Maintain accurate inventory of parts in the inventory control systems by recording parts pulled/used and received.
