Job summary

EssilorLuxottica is seeking a Maintenance Tech II in California to support production by performing preventative and corrective maintenance on facility equipment. The role includes troubleshooting electronics and mechanics, basic plumbing and welding, and coordinating with vendors for parts.

You will log performance data, calibrate machinery, and train others on PM procedures. A 5+ year background and an Associate degree are preferred; valid driver’s license and low-voltage knowledge are a plus.

Qualifications

5+ years previous related experience and/or training with proven ability to troubleshoot manufacturing equipment both electronically and mechanically required.
Knowledge in use of electronic test equipment (multimeter and amp meter). Basic understanding of PLC operation.
Basic refrigeration knowledge.
Ability to read/interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Responsibilities

Performs all duties of a Maintenance Tech I.
Performs computer, printer, hardware repairs, installation, and moves that do not require a specialized technician.
Perform basic plumbing tasks including soldering and pipe fitting; Perform basic metal fabrication and welding.
Log and maintain equipment performance data; analyze failure data to identify trends and implement preventive measures.
Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions, identifying root causes and implementing solutions.
Train other personnel on PM procedures, troubleshooting techniques, and equipment safety.
Maintain a clean and organized work area and adhere to safety policies.
