Job summary

Aztalan Bio LLC is seeking a 2nd shift maintenance technician in Wisconsin to help build a strong maintenance presence on the 2:00pm–10:30pm shift. You will perform preventative and corrective maintenance on production equipment and troubleshoot mechanical and basic electrical issues to ensure safe, reliable operation.

You will participate in a weekly on-call rotation and support operational needs outside normal hours.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of mechanical maintenance experience in a manufacturing facility.
• Welding and/or fabrication experience and certification (as applicable).
• Experience working with conveyors, pumps, valves, etc.
• Knowledge of mechanical and electrical blueprints and the ability to operate various mechanical equipment.
• Forklift certified.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work effectively as a team member.
• Flexible, reliable and respectful; strong safety and math aptitude.

Responsibilities

• Complete preventative and planned maintenance tasks and coordinate with planners and supervisors.
• Analyze mechanical failures promptly and perform repairs following EHS rules.
• Execute ad-hoc mechanical tasks quickly and professionally as requested by supervisors.
• Participate in weekly on-call rotations to handle off-hours maintenance needs.
• Maintain production equipment, perform renewals and repairs, and handle component conversions if needed.
• Troubleshoot and repair plant equipment including pumps, exchangers, conveyors, valves, and fans.
• Adjust equipment to maintain specified process parameters including alignment and lubrication.
• Register maintenance jobs in the proper system and communicate status to planners/managers.
• Keep work areas and tools clean; train operators in simple maintenance tasks.
• Participate in plant shutdowns to determine maintenance requirements within scope.
