Job summary

Staffmark is hiring a Maintenance Technician for the South Bend, IN area. The role focuses on troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining production equipment and utility systems to keep operations running safely and efficiently.

The position requires 3–5 years of plant maintenance experience, an associate degree preferred, and experience with PLCs, wiring, and CMMS. The 2:00 PM–10:30 PM shift offers competitive weekly pay and comprehensive benefits through Staffmark.

Qualifications

Associate degree in Industrial Electronics/Electrical Engineering Technology preferred.
Completion of an approved industrial electrical maintenance apprenticeship preferred.
SAP or CMMS experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production equipment and utility systems.
Diagnose electrical, mechanical, PLC, HMI, and network-related issues.
Perform preventive maintenance and complete work orders in the CMMS system.
Read blueprints, schematics, and technical documents to diagnose equipment failures.
Repair motors, drives, sprockets, chains, belts, pulleys, bearings, and related components.
Troubleshoot and maintain wastewater, hydraulic, pneumatic, and boiler systems.
Perform root cause failure analysis on equipment breakdowns.
Assist with equipment changeovers and production support.
Train employees on identifying and resolving basic mechanical issues.
Complete maintenance logs and maintain compliance with maintenance standards.
Support HVAC troubleshooting and repairs.
