Job summary

Hunter Engineering Company in Durant, OK is seeking a Technician, Maintenance to repair and maintain machinery and electrical systems. You will handle engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyors, and production equipment while following safety protocols and PPE requirements.

The role requires a technical certificate or AA degree and at least 2 years of related experience; forklift operation and blueprint reading are essential.

Qualifications

• Certificate or technical training preferred.
• 2 years’ experience in industry or a combination of education and experience totaling at least 2 years is required.
• Forklift operation ability required.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and manuals.
• Basic math skills and familiarity with common hand and power tools.

Responsibilities

• Observe safety rules and wear PPE.
• Work overtime or weekends as needed.
• Troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning equipment.
• Dismantle devices to access/replace parts.
• Pull wires and connect to electrical equipment.
• Use hand and power tools for repairs.
• Initiate purchase requisitions for parts.
• Repair electrical equipment following safety protocols.
• Operate welding equipment as needed.
• Move materials using forklift/crane/tow motor.
• Read blueprints/manuals for repairs.
• Follow hazard communications and safety requirements.
• Additional duties as assigned.
