Job summary
Greif is seeking a Maintenance II (2nd Shift) in Alsip, IL to perform plant-wide mechanical maintenance and repairs. Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in industrial maintenance or manufacturing.
- Technical certification preferred or pursuing related associate degree.
- Proficient with CMMS and mechanical equipment such as lathes, mills and drill presses.
Responsibilities
- Perform safe, observable maintenance and report safety concerns.
- Start up and shut down equipment per operating procedures and OSHA requirements.
- Perform mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic maintenance to support improvements.
- Troubleshoot and repair machinery including belts, gears, pumps, and test equipment.
- Read drawings and instructions for repair, installation and inspection work.
- Maintain logs and CMMS records; uphold safety practices and PPE use.
- Assist in equipment relocation, installation, and building maintenance as needed.
