Job summary

Greif is seeking a Sr. Maintenance Technician for the 2nd shift in Carol Stream, IL. You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, PLC, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, and calibrate equipment to ensure reliable production.

Collaborate with the maintenance team and uphold safety and Lean practices. The role requires 3–5 years of relevant experience and a high school diploma or technical training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or technical training; 3–5 years’ relevant experience.
• Ability to read electrical/mechanical drawings and work orders.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills; safety-focused.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, PLC, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues.
• Read manuals, diagrams, and work orders to service equipment.
• Install, calibrate, and replace parts as needed.
• Adhere to plant safety policies and Lean programs.
• Mentor junior maintenance colleagues.
• Use hand tools and measuring instruments to calibrate parts.
• Dismantle, repair, and rebuild equipment as required.
• Handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
