Job summary

Miller Poultry in Orland, IN is seeking a skilled 2nd Shift Maintenance Technician to join our full-time technical team. You will diagnose, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on our milling and processing equipment, with duties spanning welding, plumbing, mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical tasks, while following safety and GMP rules.

Candidates must pass a maintenance test and be able to operate power tools and equipment, including forklift and pallet jack.

Qualifications

• Must be mechanically inclined with knowledge across welding, plumbing, mechanical, hydraulic and electrical tasks.
• Ability to read work orders and specifications to determine repairs and maintenance.
• Must pass a maintenance test and have knowledge of safety rules and equipment operation.

Responsibilities

• Start machines and observe mechanical operation to diagnose efficiency and issues.
• Inspect damaged parts and advise on repairs.
• Lubricate and replace machine parts per procedures.
• Install or replace machine components per production specs.
• Record maintenance activities and stock parts as needed.
