Scotts Miracle-Gro in Channahon, IL is seeking a Maintenance Technician to troubleshoot and repair equipment across mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic systems. The role includes maintenance of production line equipment and possible installation of machinery, with first shift through mid-September and then second shift.

The position offers weekly pay at $28.60–$38.75 per hour, with benefits and opportunities for growth in a fast-paced, manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Prior relevant maintenance experience.
• Manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability for prolonged and repetitive motions.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
• Teachable attitude and ability to learn on the job in a fast paced environment.
• Ability to read numbers, product descriptions, and maintain written records.
• Ability to push button, monitor controls, and perform basic math functions.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and perform repairs and maintenance on equipment (mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, electronic, pneumatic).
• Repair production line equipment (conveyor belts, packaging, grinding, stacking).
• May install machinery and equipment.
• Cut and welding, including light steel fabrication.
• Inspect and adjust equipment.
• Assist in diagnosing malfunctions in machinery and equipment.
• Perform maintenance duties or other tasks as assigned.
