Job summary

Family Dollar in Saint George, Utah is seeking a Maintenance Technician for our distribution center. Shift: Mon-Thu 3pm-11:30pm, Fri 5pm-1:30am. Pay: $25/hr plus $1.25 shift differential.

You will perform preventive maintenance, emergency repairs, troubleshoot conveyors, and electrical/controls systems across the DC. You will follow safety procedures, work on lift trucks, PLCs, servo drives, and diagnostic tools, coordinating with teammates to minimize downtime.

Qualifications

• Coursework or certification in electronic technology and 2 years industrial maintenance experience specializing in electronic technology (including troubleshooting and repairing automated equipment) OR 3 years industrial maintenance experience specializing in electronic technology (including troubleshooting and repairing automated equipment)
• PLC/PC programming knowledge and troubleshooting experience
• Industrial electrical hands-on experience and troubleshooting, including 480V 3-phase, 110 VAC, and 24 VDC systems
• Advanced troubleshooting skills with PCs and industrial controls devices/networking
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, relating technical issues to business leadership
• Shift work and overtime/weekends/holidays required
• Customer service oriented

Responsibilities

• Performs preventive maintenance and repairs on equipment including lift trucks, pneumatic, hydraulic, dock, electrical, and controls systems.
• Troubleshoots complex electrical/electronic problems with PLCs, motor drives, and I/O devices.
• Diagnoses problems using blueprints and diagnostic tools.
• Assists other maintenance technicians and maintains an organized, safe work area.
• Communicates with customers, suppliers, and associates to minimize downtime.
