Job summary

Veritas Steel in Eau Claire, Wisconsin is seeking Maintenance Technicians to maintain and repair heavy machinery including welding equipment, cranes and forklifts. The role includes preventative maintenance, accurate record-keeping, and collaboration with other departments to keep equipment running safely and efficiently.

We offer a comprehensive benefits package, a 2nd shift from 4:30 PM to 4:30 AM, and overtime at double time after 50 hours per week.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Preferred 3+ years of experience in maintenance and repair of industrial equipment and machinery.
• Experience with welding equipment, cranes, forklifts, and other heavy machinery.
• Strong Electrical knowledge.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Familiarity with safety regulations.
• Ability to read and understand technical manuals.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular maintenance and repairs on equipment and machinery.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment issues.
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment.
• Maintain equipment and machinery to ensure they are in good working condition.
• Keep accurate records of maintenance and repair work.
• Communicate with other departments to ensure equipment is running efficiently.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations.
• Continuously improve maintenance processes.
• Other duties as assigned.
