Job summary

G.S. Precision, Inc. is seeking a maintenance technician to perform repairs, adjustments, and preventive maintenance on production machinery. The role requires diagnosing root causes and mentoring junior staff, with duties including operating various fabrication machines and following strict safety guidelines.

This is a 2nd shift position (3:30pm–2:00am) at our Brattleboro, VT facility. A High School Diploma or equivalent with 3–5 years of mechanical experience is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required, plus 3–5 years mechanical experience.
• Experience with pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical and controls systems preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Performs repairs and adjustments to ensure proper operation of production machinery.
• Diagnoses problems, determines root cause, and performs repairs; conducts scheduled preventive maintenance.
• Operates drill presses, lathes, milling machines and other fabrication equipment.
• Trains and mentors less experienced maintenance staff.
• Follows safety rules and company guidelines.
