Job summary

The Royal Group in Louisville, KY is seeking a 2nd Shift Maintenance Technician to troubleshoot, install, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on equipment.

Qualifications

• Detail-oriented with strong time management and teamwork skills.
• 3+ years of maintenance experience in an industrial setting.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical blueprints.
• Forklift certification.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Computer competence with Microsoft Office suite.
• Energetic, motivated and dependable; able to work in a team.
• Interact professionally with teammates and contribute to a positive work environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair assembly equipment.
• Fill in as a line leader or assist production when needed.
• Research and develop new product lines and equipment.
• Ensure safe operation of all equipment and outlets.
• Maintain materials and spare parts; order parts as needed.
• Initiate or sustain a cost-effective preventive maintenance program.
• Operate forklifts and hand jacks safely.
• Oversee external vendors for contracted work and installations.
• Follow up on work orders to ensure quality repairs.
• Teach maintenance procedures and classifications to team members.
