Job summary

Stanley Black & Decker, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician for 1st shift in Northlake, TX. You will install, troubleshoot and maintain production and facility equipment, and perform preventive maintenance according to schedule.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2 years experience in Electrical/Mechanical field preferred.
• Knowledge of electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical and plumbing.
• General knowledge of Distribution Center layout and equipment.
• Ability to work safely with above-average accuracy.
• Basic computer skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Must be able to work any shift including weekends and holidays.
• Physical ability to lift 10–50 lbs regularly and up to 100 lbs occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment.
• Record productive time versus travel time.
• Perform preventive maintenance work according to schedule.
• Maintain all work records and parts used at each job.
• Keep manuals and details up to date as changes are advised.
• Responsible for facility improvement including safety projects.
• Troubleshoot problems by developing a plan of action, estimating labor time, and materials.
• Safely operate a walkie rider and floor scrubber; forklift certified.
• Complete assigned tasks, maintain staging lane, 5S duties.
• Other duties as assigned.
