Job summary

SK Food Group in Cleveland, TN is seeking a Maintenance Systems Technician III (2nd Shift) to maintain and repair plant machinery to meet industry and company quality standards. The role requires journeyman-level expertise with strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities include PM scheduling, equipment modifications, root-cause analysis, and training associates. Candidates should have an associate degree or certified trade in industrial fields and 5+ years of

Qualifications

Associate’s Degree or Certificate in Industrial Fabrication, Industrial Electrical, Machining or Millwright Program with 5+ years of industrial experience, or equivalent.
Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
Experience reading electrical diagrams and machine drawings.
Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics.
Experience with MIG and TIG welding (food-grade welding a plus).
Experience with precision measurement tools (micrometers, Vernier calipers, dial indicators).
Experience with sheet metal fabrication preferred.
Ability to work in cold, hot, wet, high areas.

Responsibilities

Maintain maintenance records and PM schedules for equipment and facilities.
Recommend equipment modifications to improve process, productivity and quality.
Analyze performance issues, tear down, inspect and replace components.
Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical equipment to define root cause and repair promptly.
Install and maintain electrical control systems and solid-state equipment.
Modify electrical prototypes, parts and systems to correct deviations.
Maintain spare parts inventory to minimize downtime and expense.
Design, measure, analyze, implement and control DMAIC mechanical improvements.
Practice continuous improvement in equipment and facilities.
Locate critical spares not in inventory.
Implement factory maintenance schedules and develop new ones.
Repair downed equipment quickly in a time-critical environment.
Train and coach associates on technical and procedural duties.
Other duties as assigned.
Regular attendance is essential.
