Job summary

The Zildjian Company in Norwell, MA is seeking an experienced Maintenance Mechanic for the 2nd shift (3 PM – 11 PM). The ideal candidate brings seven or more years of industrial electrical-mechanical maintenance and troubleshooting experience to keep production equipment safe, reliable, and uptime-focused.

Responsibilities include maintenance, installation, troubleshooting and repair of equipment; basic machining and welding; reading schematics; and documenting work orders in the CMMS.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in industrial electrical-mechanical maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Experience repairing manufacturing equipment across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and automated systems.
• PLC/HMI programming and diagnostics (Allen Bradley, etc.).
• High school education required; trade school or apprenticeship preferred.
• Ability to read schematics/blueprints and perform precise measurements.
• Experience with hand tools, power tools, and electronic test equipment.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate and execute maintenance on production equipment with emphasis on safety and uptime.
• Collaborate with engineering to resolve quality and production issues.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and rebuild mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
• Diagnose PLC/control circuit faults and use electrical test equipment.
• Read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings.
• Perform basic machining (mill, lathe, drill) and welding (MIG, TIG, Stick).
• Document work orders and preventive maintenance in the CMMS.
• Support safety, quality, and housekeeping improvements.
• Communicate maintenance status across shifts and to management.
