Job summary

Crothall Healthcare is hiring a Maintenance Mechanic for the South County Health site in Rhode Island on the 2nd shift (Tuesday–Saturday, 3pm–11:30pm). The role operates and maintains HVAC, boilers, generators, and steam equipment.

A $500 sign-on and a $500 retention bonus apply after six months, with union employment noted. The ideal candidate has at least five years of general maintenance experience in healthcare or similar settings, a high school diploma or GED, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of trade or vocational schooling.
• Trade certificate preferred.
• Valid unencumbered driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality customer service with detailed, one-on-one attention.
• Perform repairs to building and grounds.
• Conduct routine rounds of mechanical spaces and document equipment readings.
• Replace HVAC air filters per schedule.
• Monitor safety by securing doors and checking electrical devices.
