Job summary

Ferrara is hiring a Maintenance Mechanic for a second-shift role in the Fairfield area. You will install, maintain, and repair food processing and packaging equipment, including conveyors, motors, and robotics, to support factory goals.

The job requires reading schematics and performing preventive maintenance, with a focus on safety and efficiency. A welding background is preferred, and overtime may be required based on production needs.

Qualifications

• Experience maintaining food processing and packaging equipment.
• Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and manuals.
• Welding experience preferred (MIG, TIG).

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair food processing and packaging equipment and components.
• Install and maintain gearboxes, shafts, bearings, belts, and related mechanical parts; perform lubrication.
• Install electric motors, sensors, switches, and related devices; troubleshoot pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• Analyze operations and initiate maintenance actions; use CMMS to report work.
• Generate parts requisitions and complete preventive maintenance routines.
• Identify root causes and implement long-term solutions; perform other duties as assigned.
