Job Summary

Installs, troubleshoots, and repairs a variety of equipment and machinery to support manufacturing, packaging, and distribution operations. Diagnoses problems and recommends solutions.

Essential Job Functions
  • Uses knowledge and experience to resolve complex operating problems (some examples below) in a timely manner; reports other problems to Supervisor. Typical items include repairing various electrical, vacuum, mechanical, and pneumatic systems; performing mechanical calibrations and alignments; assembling and testing motor‑control devices, switch panels, transformers, generator windings, solenoids, and other machinery related equipment.
  • Performs general and preventative maintenance of multiple production systems in and around the facility.
  • Performs mechanical calibrations and alignments during preventative maintenance on equipment.
  • Applies related knowledge to test and/or modify operational machinery and control equipment.
  • Accurately completes daily maintenance reports.
  • Maintains a clean and organized work environment and conserves resources by using equipment and supplies to accomplish job results without waste.
  • Follows safety policies and procedures; reports unsafe conditions to Supervisor.

Education & Experience
  • Typical education required associate degree, Military, or Civilian Equivalent in Industrial Maintenance Technology.

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Flexible and able to quickly shift priorities as needed.
  • Able to work from verbal and written instructions.

Office setting. Seldom exposed to fumes or airborne particles. Loud working environment of the shop area. Functional vision and hearing required.
