Victaulic is hiring a 2nd shift Machinist (Tool Maker / Mold Maker) at the Nephi Foundry Facility in Utah. The role focuses on reading blueprints and GD&T, setting up machines, and producing precise components for heavy industrial applications.

You will operate 3-axis CNC mills and lathes, write G-code/M-code, and follow safety procedures while maintaining equipment and quality standards. Prior technical schooling and 5+ years of experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of technical schooling preferred.
• 5+ years on-the-job experience preferred.
• High School graduate will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints, engineering drawings, specifications, and interpret GD&T.
• Set up and operate machines by installing pallets, vises, tombstones, and fixtures.
• Write and edit G-code and M-code programs as required.
• Operate 3-axis vertical CNC mills; operate CNC mills, lathes and turning centers.
• Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations; perform preventative maintenance.
• Experience in rubber mold building preferred but not required.

THE ROLE

We’re hiring for Machinists at our Foundry Facility in Nephi, UT. As a member of our team, you’ll put your precision skills to work crafting, machining, and fine-tuning critical components that keep heavy industrial operations running at peak performance while turning raw castings into high-quality finished products.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Read blueprints, engineering drawings, specifications, and interpret GD&T.
• Use micrometers, calipers, indicators and all common machining tools.
• Able to use basic math, geometry and trigonometry.
• Set up and operate machines by installing pallets, vises, tombstones, and fixtures.
• Maintains specifications by taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes; adjusting and reprogramming; replacing worn tools; adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes.
• Operate an overhead crane and drive a forklift.
• Write and Edit G code and M code programs as required.
• Operate 3 axis vertical CNC Mills.
• Operate CNC Mills Lathes and Turning Centers.
• Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
• Maintain equipment using preventative maintenance.
• Maintain an organized and clean work environment.
• Experience in rubber mold building preferred but not required.

WHAT TO EXPECT

• Required to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Moderate walking, standing, lifting, carrying, bending, kneeling, and reaching. Work around moving objects, and with machinery with moving parts.

WHAT YOU BRING

• 2+ Years Technical schooling preferred.
• 5+ years on the job experience preferred.
• High School graduate will be considered.
• Able to work well with others.
