Job summary

Victaulic is hiring a 2nd Shift Machinist at the Nephi, UT Horizon Foundry Facility. You will read blueprints, set up and operate CNC mills/turning centers, and write G-code to turn raw castings into high‑quality components.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of technical schooling or equivalent required.
• 5+ years of on-the-job machining experience preferred.
• High school diploma considered.
• Able to work well with others.
• Experience reading blueprints and GD&T.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints, engineering drawings, GD&T as needed.
• Set up and operate machines with pallets, vises, fixtures.
• Write and edit G-code and M-code programs.
• Operate 3-axis CNC mills, mills, lathes; turning centers.
• Maintain safety and quality; perform preventive maintenance.
• Operate overhead crane and forklift as required.

As a member of our team, you’ll put your precision skills to work crafting, machining, and fine-tuning critical components that keep heavy industrial operations running at peak performance while turning raw castings into high-quality finished products. **WHAT YOU'LL DO**· Read blueprints, engineering drawings, specifications, and interpret GD&T.· Use micrometers, calipers, indicators and all common machining tools.· Able to use basic math, geometry and trigonometry.· Set up and operate machines by installing pallets, vises, tombstones, and fixtures.· Maintains specifications by taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes; adjusting and reprogramming; replacing worn tools; adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes.· Operate an overhead crane and drive a forklift.· Write and Edit G code and M code programs as required.· Operate 3 axis vertical CNC Mills.· Operate CNC Mills Lathes and Turning Centers.· Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.· Maintain equipment using preventative maintenance.· Maintain an organized and clean work environment.· Experience in rubber mold building preferred but not required.**WHAT TO EXPECT**· Required to lift up to 50 lbs.· Moderate walking, standing, lifting, carrying, bending, kneeling, and reaching.
