Daikin Applied is hiring for a 2nd shift manufacturing role in Staunton, VA. Starting wage is $28.45 plus $2.30 shift differential for the 2nd shift, with shift from 1:50 pm to 9:50 pm, Monday through Friday.

The job emphasizes safety, quality, and operating various tools to process components and final products in a climate-controlled facility. Responsibilities include following safety rules, reading blueprints and operation sheets, performing inspections, maintaining records, and completing

Qualifications

• Must lift/push/pull and stand for long periods in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• High School Diploma or GED, or 2+ years related production experience.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety rules and PPE requirements.
• Read and work from blueprints, BOMs, routing sheets, OMS, and work instructions.
• Handle materials to complete tasks meeting production requirements.
• Operate tools and equipment to move components and final product.
• Use measurements and visual inspection to ensure quality and adherence to prints.
• Maintain records including quality checklists and data entry in systems.
• Complete required skills training (e.g., crane and tugger operation, fall protection).
• Perform safe operation of equipment to complete tasks.
• Execute daily/weekly/monthly preventive maintenance per schedule.
