Job summary

Tyson Foods in Hutchinson, KS is hiring for second shift production positions. The facility operates six days a week, producing sausage crumbles and dry sausage. Starting base pay is $21.60 per hour with an additional $1.10 per hour shift differential for second shift placement.

Various positions are open, with schedules that may include a 7-day rotation. Responsibilities include operating machinery to maintain production flow, adjusting settings, and using the EIM system with handheld scanners.

Qualifications

• Must have a minimum of 6 months of operator experience, with the same employer.
• Candidates who have previously worked for Tyson will have a minimum rehire waiting period of 180 days and are limited to 3 times of employment.

Responsibilities

• Operate machinery to ensure continuous flow of product and proper ingredients on the line.
• Monitor and adjust machine settings, notify supervisor if maintenance is needed, and follow Tyson policies.
• Learn new EIM System and use hand-held scanners and related duties.
• Wear PPE including steel-toed shoes, bump cap and hearing protection; dress appropriately for workstation.
