Job summary

Eaton Roxboro, NC is seeking a Machine Operator - 2nd Shift to perform grinding, select fit sizing and assembly operations. The role includes machine setup, basic troubleshooting, and handling of materials with a focus on safety and quality.

You will conduct quality inspections per control plans, reaction charts, and SPC data, maintain 5S practices, perform LP/LOTO tasks, and support cross-training across lines. The job requires lifting up to 40 lbs and overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent required.
• Minimum 1 year of manufacturing, machine operation, or production experience.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and work overtime as needed.
• Must meet location radius requirement and not require immigration sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to a safe, engaged and inclusive work culture by complying with all policies, including proper use of PPE and operation of equipment, and performing 5S duties.
• Work from control plans, blueprints, and/or oral instructions to set up, operate, and maintain machines.
• Maintain progress of jobs and communicate concerns appropriately.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and perform root cause analysis for quality issues.
• Responsible for quality, including measuring finished parts and inspecting material for nonconformities.
• Cross train and stand in for other employees when necessary.
