Job summary

Liberty Diversified International (LDI) in Golden Valley, MN is seeking a full-time Machine Operator to safely produce quality corrugated products for our customers. You will set up orders, operate the machine, and perform quality checks as part of a small crew to maximize machine efficiencies.

The role reports to a Production Supervisor. A high school diploma or GED plus 3+ years in manufacturing (or 4+ years without) are required; overtime, weekends and holidays may be needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 3+ years of work experience in a manufacturing environment, or 4+ years without education.

Responsibilities

• Operate machine by setting up orders according to customer specifications and prepare tools.
• Perform quality checks by inspecting articles and first articles to ensure quality.
• Enter production metrics into computer system to track production rates, quality, maintenance and downtime.
• Proactively communicate equipment issues to leaders; troubleshoot and problem-solve with the team to maximize efficiency.
• Provide guidance to Assistant Machine Operators as needed.
• Assist with minor repairs to equipment in partnership with maintenance.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area; follow post-order cleaning procedures.
• Follow plant safety processes and procedures for the machine center.
• Other duties as assigned.
