Arktura LLC in Carson, CA is seeking an entry level Machine Operator I to safely set up and operate production machines in the metals or felt value stream. You will follow established procedures and quality standards while learning from senior staff.

Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude to operate and maintain machinery.
• Basic arithmetic and computer skills.
• Ability to work with PPE in a dusty, hot environment.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
• Willingness to work 2nd shift (1:30pm–10:00pm).
• Knowledge of G-Code may be required.

Responsibilities

• Clocks to and perform transactions in Shop-Trak; updating status on projects, material moves, and scrap.
• Load, unload, receive, and store raw materials and supplies.
• Prepare machines for production cycles with calibration and cleaning.
• Use CAM programs to monitor, control, and adjust machine settings.
• Perform maintenance and keep operator logs.
• Identify product defects and report nonconformances to Supervisor/QA.
• Cross-train on other machines as needed.
• Follow safety protocols and wear PPE.
• Maintain clean and safe work areas.
