Job summary

Responsibilities include reading specifications, adjusting machines, monitoring performance, and performing routine maintenance while maintaining a clean work area and following safety rules.

Qualifications

• Must have machine operator experience and mechanical skills.
• High school diploma/equivalent required or related experience.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and operation/maintenance manuals.
• Ability to work independently as a self-starter.
• Ability to perform basic math and measurements.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Read job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements.
• Set stops or guides to specific lengths as indicated by scale, rule, or templates.
• Observe machine operation to detect product defects or machine malfunction.
• Review product for inconsistencies or abnormal appearance assuring product meets quality requirements.
• Perform routine machine maintenance.
• Assist other operators to set up machines and complete tasks to meet deadlines.
• Maintain clean and orderly work area.
• Other duties may be assigned as needed.
