Job summary

Oldcastle APG in Florida is seeking a Machine Operator for the 2nd shift to operate plant machinery and ensure compliance with safety policies to produce high-quality concrete products. You will read specifications, set up machines, monitor operation, and perform routine maintenance.

We require a High School diploma or equivalent and basic math skills; MS Office familiarity is a plus. The role emphasizes accuracy, teamwork, and adherence to safety standards on a full-time basis.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, or related experience.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Basic math skills for unit conversions and calculations.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Read job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements.
• Set stops or guides to specific lengths as indicated by scale, rule, or templates.
• Observe machine operation to detect product defects or machine malfunction.
• Review product for inconsistencies or abnormal appearance assuring product meets quality requirements.
• Perform routine machine maintenance.
• Assist other operators to set up machines and any other necessary tasks to adhere to deadlines.
• Maintain housekeeping in a clean and orderly fashion in assigned area.
• Other duties as needed.
