Job summary

Oldcastle APG, Inc. in Orlando, FL, is seeking a focused Manufacturing Operator to operate plant machinery in accordance with safety rules to produce quality precast concrete products.

You will read specifications, adjust machines, monitor for defects, and help maintain clean, organized work areas. Required is a high school diploma or equivalent, basic math and reading skills, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, or 1 month related experience
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions
• Ability to perform basic math for measurements
• Experience with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel)
• Maintain a high level of accuracy and ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
• Able to work a flexible schedule

Responsibilities

• Read job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements
• Set stops or guides to specific lengths as indicated by scale or templates
• Observe machine operation to detect product defects or machine malfunction
• Review product for inconsistencies or abnormal appearance and ensure quality requirements
• Perform routine machine maintenance
• Assist other operators to set up machines and complete tasks to meet deadlines
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area
• Other duties as assigned as needed
