Job summary

Astec, Inc. on Jerome Ave is seeking a Machine Operator for 2nd shift who will set up, operate, monitor, troubleshoot and perform preventive maintenance on assigned machines. You will inspect parts to specifications and adjust as needed to maintain quality.

Responsibilities include reading blueprints, adjusting machine settings, logging daily activities, following safety rules, and coordinating with team to ensure safe, efficient production in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Blueprint reading skills desired.
• 0-2 heavy equipment manufacturing experience desired.
• Computer experience with mouse and file handling.

Responsibilities

• Control and adjust machine settings to complete tasks accurately.
• Perform pre-operation activities to ensure proper equipment startup and operation.
• Read and follow blueprints to meet specifications.
• Maintain a detailed activity log of daily duties.
• Follow all safety rules and company policies.
