Job summary

Fenner Precision Polymers in Manheim, PA is seeking a Night Shift Belt Operator to produce urethane belting products. You will operate and tend machines, run a single belting line, and carefully monitor temperatures, pressures, and cycle times to ensure quality.

You’ll read and interpret work orders, follow ISO procedures after training, and adjust equipment to meet specifications. A clean 6S workspace and a safety-first mindset are essential for success and growth into Operator II.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED (or equivalent)

Responsibilities

  • Operate and tend machines to mold urethane material into belting products
  • Run one belting line (Tiger, Taz, Utility, or Pack)
  • Monitor meters and gauges to verify temperatures, pressures, and cycle times
  • Use hand calipers, length gauges, and drop gauges for measurements
  • Read and interpret work orders and comments
  • Follow ISO work instruction standards after training and sign-off
  • Adjust equipment and processes to meet product specifications
  • Ask for help when needed to minimize scrap
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace using 6S principles
  • Promote safety and a collaborative work environment
  • Perform other duties as assigned

What You’ll Be Doing...

As a key member of our Tiger Operations team, you will:

  • Operate and tend machines to mold urethane material into belting products.
  • Run one belting line (Tiger, Taz, Utility, or Pack).
  • Monitor meters and gauges to verify specified temperatures, pressures, and cycle times.
  • Use hand calipers, length gauges, and drop gauges for accurate measurements.
  • Understand and operate meter mix systems.
  • Read and interpret work orders and comments.
  • Follow ISO work instruction standards after training and sign-off.
  • Adjust equipment and processes to meet product specifications.
  • Ask for help when needed to ensure successful production and minimize scrap.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace using the "6S" system.
  • Embrace changes in the work environment to support customer satisfaction.
  • Adapt to shifting work priorities as needed.
  • Promote safety by identifying and reporting unsafe conditions.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
