As a Machine Maintenance Technician on the 2nd shift, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing complex industrial equipment used in printing, finishing, packaging, and mail processing operations. Your work will directly support high-volume production by minimizing downtime and ensuring equipment meets manufacturing specifications.

Responsibilities
- Perform systematic inspection, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis on mechanical and electromechanical equipment.
- Disassemble machines, replace worn or broken parts, adjust mechanical components, and restore equipment to operational standards.
- Interpret and follow diagrams, schematics, manuals, and engineering specifications to complete repairs.
- Clean and lubricate moving parts, order replacement components, and verify operational tolerances.
- Adapt tools and procedures to resolve unique equipment issues and provide technical support across the production floor.
- Maintain and repair Sheet Fed Offset Printing Machines and other high-speed commercial printing presses.
- Service mechanical production machinery including cutters, folders, inserters, bindery equipment, and other print-related machines.
- Diagnose and repair low voltage electrical and electronic systems such as wiring, motors, sensors, relays, and control circuits.
- Troubleshoot and support Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and automation controls, including input/output issues and electrical control installations.
- Execute tasks like connecting laptops to printing machines and changing IP addresses to support production operations.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum 3 years of machine maintenance experience.
- Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge of complex equipment.
- Experience using diagnostic tools including Digital Multimeter (DMM), Clamp Meter, Continuity Tester, Non-contact Voltage Tester, and Logic Probe for PLC I/O checks.
- Proficient with basic hand and power tools.
- Knowledge of basic electrical and electronic repairs.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to read and follow diagrams, schematics, manuals, and engineering instructions.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Sheetfed Offset Printing Presses.
- Experience with high-speed manufacturing, print, bindery, inserting, packaging, or fulfillment equipment.
