Job summary

GFA Alabama, Inc. in Georgia is seeking an organized Operations Supervisor to oversee lineside processes in our automotive parts logistics operation at Ellabell. You will lead teams to meet KPI targets across safety, quality, productivity, and costs, and support continuous improvement projects.

Initial training on the 1st shift with transition to 2nd shift; weekends/overtime may be required. Competitive base salary ($50,000–$65,000) with benefits and room for growth in a dynamic manufacturing

Qualifications

• 3+ years in a leadership or supervisory role in a fast-paced logistics assembly production environment.
• 5+ years in manufacturing, logistics, warehousing, distribution, or relevant field.
• Experience with Lean/Continuous Improvement is preferred.
• Proven experience managing KPI performance.
• Inventory management experience.
• Recruitment, selecting, training, mentoring and coaching experience.
• Strong project management and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership with effective engagement by coordinating team efforts to achieve KPI goals in areas such as Safety, Quality, Productivity, Customer Experience, Employee Engagement and Cost.
• Lead /Support continuous improvement projects focused on driving improvements in designated KPI metrics.
• Manage material flow process, ensuring area production performance achieves customer demand requirements.
• Assessing staff’s ongoing training needs, gaps, initiating actions to address needs and promote continued growth for the team members.
• Establish and implement standard operating procedures for Production Control (PC) operations
• Train employees on SOPs, safety procedures, processes, and attendance policies
• Complete reports, prioritize projects and monitor compliance with operational policies.
• Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures, complying with legal regulations
• Analyze company policies and procedures to ensure a standard and fair work environment
• Investigate root causes of issues and implement corrective actions.
• Report all operational issues to Director, including analysis and recommendations.
• Recruit, train, motivate, and evaluate staff performance and provide feedback and coaching.
