Job summary

GFA Alabama, Inc. seeks a Team Lead to supervise on-site warehouse and material handling for a JIS automotive process. You will lead hourly staff, ensure materials are received, sequenced, staged and delivered on time, and serve as the operations liaison with the customer and internal management.

The role requires 12-hour shifts, occasional Saturdays, and a strong focus on safety, quality, and continuous improvement. Proficiency with WMS and MS Office is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred.
• 2-3 years in warehouse, logistics, or manufacturing support.
• Prior lead or supervisory experience is preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and WMS systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily on-site JIS operations to meet schedules and delivery windows.
• Coordinate shifts, task assignments, break coverage, and handovers.
• Monitor inbound, sequencing, staging, and outbound processes for accuracy.
• Act as liaison with customer representatives for priorities and escalations.
• Enforce safety and quality standards; promote a safety culture.
• Track productivity, accuracy, attendance, and service level metrics.
• Support training and performance feedback for hourly team members.
• Identify process improvements aligned with ISO 9001 principles.
