Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc. is seeking an Operations Supervisor to lead a Carrier Procurement team and drive cross-functional collaboration across sales, carrier procurement and operations.

This role focuses on booking freight, maintaining KPI metrics, and developing carrier relationships to deliver superior service for GXO’s global customers. Candidates should have at least two years in transportation-related roles, two years in non-asset brokerage, and a track record in management and leadership.

Qualifications

• 2 years of transportation-related experience.
• 2 years of non-asset-based brokerage experience.
• Solid experience in management, including prioritizing work and performing well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Solid conflict resolution skills.
• Proven leadership and creative thinking skills with the ability to effectively supervise, coach and influence employees.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related work or military experience.

Responsibilities

• Handle the daily operations of the team
• Develop and expand carrier relationships with both existing and new carriers
• Train, mentor and develop a team of Carrier Procurement Representatives
• Book freight and maintain KPI metrics while ensuring your direct reports do the same
