Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc. is seeking an Operations Supervisor for the Weekend 2nd Shift in Bristow, VA. You will lead a cross-functional team and coordinate with carrier procurement, operations and finance to keep daily operations running smoothly.

You will mentor Carrier Procurement Representatives, manage freight bookings, and uphold KPI targets while guiding staff to achieve high performance in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 2 years of transportation-related experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related work or military experience.
• 2 years of non-asset-based brokerage experience.
• Solid management experience with prioritizing work and performing under pressure.
• Proven leadership and creative thinking skills with the ability to supervise and coach employees.

Responsibilities

• Handle the daily operations of the team.
• Develop and expand carrier relationships with both existing and new carriers.
• Train, mentor and develop a team of Carrier Procurement Representatives.
• Book freight and maintain KPI metrics while ensuring your direct reports do the same.
