Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc. in Bristow, VA, is seeking an Operations Supervisor for the 2nd shift (Mon-Fri, 2:30pm-11:00pm) to lead a Carrier Procurement team and drive cross-functional collaboration with sales, operations, and finance.

You will supervise, mentor, and develop Carrier Procurement Representatives, book freight, and monitor KPI metrics to ensure performance meets company standards.

Qualifications

• 2 years of transportation-related experience.
• 2 years of non-asset-based brokerage experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related work or military experience.
• Proven leadership and creative thinking skills to supervise, coach and influence employees.

Responsibilities

• Handle the daily operations of the team.
• Develop and expand carrier relationships with both existing and new carriers.
• Train, mentor and develop a team of Carrier Procurement Representatives.
• Book freight and maintain KPI metrics while ensuring your direct reports do the same.

You’ll handle a team of Carrier Procurement Representatives and ensure that everyone is consistently delivering positive results.
