Job summary

Pratt Industries, Inc. in Rockwall, TX is looking for a 2nd Shift Shipping Clerk to plan loads, coordinate deliveries, and schedule pickups to maximize trailer utilization and minimize costs. Reports to the Shipping Supervisor and must be able to operate a forklift.

Responsibilities include setting up delivery appointments, preparing bills of lading, and communicating with logistics about outbound loads. Proficiency in Excel and prior forklift experience in a corrugated environment are

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills.
• Able to read and interpret documents such as sales reports, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, training and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
• Must be qualified to properly operate forklift.

Responsibilities

• Set up delivery appointments for loads planned.
• Set up customer pickups.
• Cut bills for all loads.
• Communicate with logistics all outbound loads and delivery times.
