Job summary

Viking Electric, part of the Sonepar group, is seeking a Warehouse Associate Backup Driver for the 2nd shift in Milwaukee. You will perform local deliveries, pre-trip vehicle inspections, loading, unloading, and maintain customer relationships while upholding safety standards.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license is required.
• Be at least 21 years old.
• Ability to climb into and drive delivery vehicles.
• Ability to lift packages up to 85 pounds.
• Pass and maintain DOT physical.
• Basic math and English communication skills.
• Willingness to learn equipment (training provided).
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without VISA sponsorship.
• 1 year of related experience or training.

Responsibilities

• Conduct vehicle inspections at start and end of route.
• Transport and deliver products to customers safely.
• Unload items such as wire, pipe, conduit and boxes.
• Maintain safe, clean work environment and adhere to safety procedures.
• Provide courteous customer service and build relationships.
• Fill orders and issue materials per requests.
• Operate material handling equipment as listed.
• Pack and ship customer orders accurately.
