Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands in Elizabethton, TN, is seeking a dock worker to support loading, staging and material handling for our steel fabrication product mix.

This role requires forklift operation and overhead crane experience, a safety-focused mindset, and teamwork, with a 5:00 PM–3:30 AM shift (Mon–Fri, occasional Saturdays) and starting pay of $16.25/hr plus $1.50 shift differential; benefits start day one.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
• A minimum of one (1) year of related work experience in manufacturing or a comparable work environment
• A minimum of one (1) year of forklift operation
• Overhead crane experience is a plus
• Comfort and familiarity with power hand tools
• Willingness to train, certify and operate forklift and overhead crane
• Ability to work effectively to meet deadlines
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
• General mathematical knowledge and proficiency with basic measuring instruments

Responsibilities

• Perform the required duties with the safety of self, fellow dock workers and the receiving parties in mind and quality as the top priority
• Required to scan all products loaded into truck 100%
• Report any safety or quality concerns to Supervisor or Plant Manager immediately
• Unload and load trucks and trailers
