Job summary

Staffmark is hiring a Forklift Operator in Chattanooga, TN. You will safely operate forklifts to load/unload, move materials, and support inventory control in a warehouse setting.

Requires 2 years of forklift experience and a valid certification (or ability to obtain). Compensation is $16.50 to $19.00 per hour on first and second shifts, with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 2 years of forklift operating experience.
• Basic computer and scanner/RF gun experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Dependable with excellent attendance and punctuality.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate sit-down, stand-up, reach truck, cherry picker, or other powered industrial trucks.
• Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers.
• Transport materials throughout the warehouse and production areas.
• Accurately pick, stage, and prepare orders for shipment.
• Receive, inspect, and store incoming inventory.
• Perform daily forklift inspections and report equipment issues.
• Maintain accurate inventory by scanning products and completing required documentation.
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of safety hazards.
• Follow company policies, OSHA regulations, and warehouse safety procedures.
• Assist with general warehouse duties as needed.
