McCormick & Company, Incorporated (Zatarain's) is seeking a Line Technician for the 2nd shift (1:30pm-10pm, Mon-Fri) at Gretna, LA. The role supports the production line to meet quality, safety and waste goals, under supervision of the Production Manager.

Responsibilities include line setup, changeovers, and equipment operation. Ideal candidates have 1–2 years in food manufacturing with leadership, mechanical aptitude and basic math, plus strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years in food manufacturing with leadership and equipment experience.
• Proven mechanical ability.
• Ability to read, write and perform simple math.
• Good verbal and written communication.
• Able to lift up to 10 lbs continuously and 25–50 lbs frequently; overtime/weekends as required.

Responsibilities

• Line set-up, product changeovers, and minor repairs on line equipment.
• Operate processing, filling and packaging production line equipment.
• Perform quality inspections of products and packs.
• Monitor line activities to meet production needs and minimize downtime.
• Process inventory transactions using SAP and complete paperwork.
• Assist in training employees on line equipment and processes.
