Job summary

Sterling St James LLC in Fort Atkinson, WI, is seeking a Lead Industrial Electrician for the 2nd shift to oversee automation, electrical safety, and uptime of complex plant systems. You will act as the primary technical lead on shift, diagnosing issues, guiding repairs, and ensuring NEC compliance in a high-volume manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

1+ years of industrial electrical maintenance experience in automated manufacturing or packaging.
Experience in regulated environments (food/beverage) preferred.
Ability to read and interpret multi-page electrical schematics and control logic prints.
Experience diagnosing issues across automated packaging networks, VFDs, sensors, MCCs, and conveyors.
Comfort working at heights and operating aerial lifts safely.
US Citizenship or Green Card holder living within a 45-minute drive of Fort Atkinson, WI.

Responsibilities

Serve as Shift Technical Lead: 2nd shift authority troubleshooting, installing, and repairing plant electrical infrastructure and control circuits.
Execute Active Logic Diagnostics: trace schematics to diagnose component failures and minimize downtime.
Ensure NEC & Code Compliance: perform repairs and upgrades per NEC guidelines.
Maintain Master Documentation: log shift maintenance and update drawings.
Manage Overhead Infrastructure: safely access and service overhead power distribution with ladders, scaffolding, and aerial lifts.
Uphold Plant Safety & Sanitation: maintain 5S and high-hygiene manufacturing protocols.
