Job summary

Sonic Reference Laboratory, Inc is hiring a Laboratory Specimen Processor II for the 2nd shift in Austin, TX. You will perform specimen processing tasks, manage serum and urine aliquots, and handle send-away manifests while supporting the shift lead and inventory needs.

The role requires an Associate Degree or Phlebotomy Certification (or Medical Assistant with a high school diploma), strong reading/writing/analytical skills, and accurate typing with 10-key.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree OR Phlebotomy Certification or Medical Assistant with High School Diploma
• Strong reading, writing, and analytical skills
• Typing proficiency, including 10-key
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• 2+ years of laboratory training or experience in specimen collection and processing
• Data entry experience in a laboratory environment

Responsibilities

• Mastery of Laboratory Specimen Processor I duties
• Handles All Shift Exception handling of samples, issues
• Serum and Urine Aliquots
• Send Away manifest creation, packaging and shipping
• Complete the Daily End of Shift Checklist
• Assist Shift Lead and Supervisor with Inventory Needs
