Job summary

Johnsonville Sausage, LLC is seeking a Jr. Electro-Mechanical Technician for the 2nd shift to join the Countryside facility.

You will work with maintenance to keep equipment and lines running, participate in upgrades, and learn mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic skills through a 2‑year program. Expect to complete internal training, work with journeymen, and gain hands-on experience while using SAP for maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities

• Complete Johnsonville internal TPC Maintenance course curriculum.
• Perform high quality preventive maintenance on production equipment.
• Maintain and repair production equipment and facilities.
• Assist with routine safety checks on tools, shop equipment, ladders and PPE.
• Develop troubleshooting skills for electrical and mechanical problems.
• Assist on projects or shutdowns.
• Support new equipment installation or relocation.
• Maintain facilities to meet Johnsonville, OSHA and USDA standards.
• Participate in maintenance meetings and suggest uptime improvements.
• Develop trade skills via on‑the‑job training (welding, plumbing, basic electrical, basic machining).
• Use SAP for work orders, materials, and packaging tasks.
