Job summary

The Children’s Place Inc. in Fort Payne, Alabama is seeking an Inventory Control Associate for the 2nd shift. You will prepare items for shipment, verify labeling, and use RF scanners to process cases in a fast-paced distribution environment.

Responsibilities include palletizing, data entry with RF devices, aligning with orders and bills of lading, and maintaining an orderly work area while providing excellent service to drivers and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Regularly required to stand, walk and reach with hands and arms.
• Occasionally required to sit and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
• Must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
• Must read and comprehend instructions and write correspondence.
• Basic math skills are required.
• Ability to communicate with Supervisor and use basic PC skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare items for shipment according to TCP standards and department procedures.
• Inspect packages for proper labeling and packaging; notify supervisor of irregularities.
• Receive cases using an automated conveyor system and RF scanners; verify against bills of lading and orders.
• Physically palletize cases and input data with RF scanners; route items to departments.
• Disperse merchandise to stores according to pick lights; perform audits of SKU quantities.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and provide friendly service to delivery drivers and internal departments.
