Job summary

The Children’s Place Inc. Fort Payne, AL is hiring for a warehouse associate responsible for preparing items for shipment per TCP standards. You will work with an automated conveyor system, RF scanners, and pick-light routing to move merchandise to the correct stores and departments.

Ideal candidates are able to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs when required, and maintain a clean, safe workspace while delivering strong service to delivery drivers and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Regularly required to stand, walk and reach with hands and arms.
• Occasionally required to sit and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
• Must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally 50 pounds.
• Basic math skills and ability to read and comprehend instructions.

Responsibilities

• Follow guided procedures to ensure each shipment is processed according to TCP standards.
• Inspect packages for proper labeling and packaging.
• Identify irregularities and notify Supervisor; assist in troubleshooting shipping discrepancies.
• Receive cases using an automated conveyor system and RF scanners.
• Verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.
• Palletize cases and input data using RF scanners.
• Route items to departments and disperse merchandise to stores according to pick lights.
• Perform audits to verify SKU quantity.
• Complete cartons for stores using RF technology and replace with new cartons.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and provide excellent service to drivers and internal departments.
