Job summary

Tyson Foods Amherst, OH is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic for the 2nd shift. The role performs skilled mechanical and electrical maintenance on plant utilities, conveyors, and powered equipment, with emphasis on preventive and predictive maintenance.

Candidates need at least 6 months of maintenance experience or completion of a maintenance/HVAC program or a related degree. Overtime/weekend work and lifting up to 100 lbs may be required.

Qualifications

• 6 months of industrial maintenance or related experience documented on the application.
• Alternative: completion of a maintenance or HVAC training program or related degree.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety, GMP, attendance policies and report unsafe conditions.
• Proactively support daily plant operations and set up/ breakdown tasks.
• Lubrication, conveyor repairs, power train & bearing maintenance, motor/gearbox replacement.
• Maintain and repair mechanical/electrical equipment in a timely manner.
