Job summary

Tyson Foods, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician to troubleshoot, repair and maintain plant equipment and assets while ensuring a safe work environment and adherence to Tyson policies.

The role supports six-day maintenance coverage, including Sundays and some holidays as needed, with a focus on plant mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and plumbing systems. Strong communication and PM documentation skills are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year maintenance experience.
• Willing and able to stand, walk, bend, stretch, climb, push, pull, and reach in all areas.
• Willing and able to lift in various areas to perform job functions.
• Must be willing to work in any assigned area or department, including cold, damp, or hot environments.
• Must be able to communicate well and comprehend training material.
• Complete necessary paperwork as required.
• Successful completion of Lockout/Tagout and Fall Arrest/Prevention training.
• Completion of all Maintenance Training Levels.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide variety of semi-skilled and skilled tasks related to maintenance, troubleshooting, HVAC, motor repairs, welding, machine repair, and modification to plant systems.
• Carry out tasks based on area of assignment and skill level.
• Gain experience in maintenance, troubleshooting, HVAC, motor repairs, welding, machine repair, and related fields.
• Stand, walk, bend, stretch, climb, push, pull, and reach in all areas.
• Lift in various areas to perform job functions.
• Work in any assigned area or department, including cold, damp, or hot environments.
• Communicate effectively and comprehend training materials.
• Complete and maintain Preventive Maintenance (PM) documentation and records.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
