Job summary

Carrier is seeking a 2nd Shift Production Maintenance Mechanic who will own the reliability of our plant machinery and equipment at the Indianapolis furnace site. This unionized environment offers stability, competitive hourly pay, and benefits for skilled tradespeople.

You will monitor, maintain, modify and repair diverse mechanical systems, switch tasks as priorities change, and contribute to safe, productive operations with training and career development provided by Carrier.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in industrial maintenance.
• Hold a valid Journeyman's Card or completion of a Skilled Trades Apprenticeship.
• Willing to complete Carrier safety programs successfully.

Responsibilities

• Keep the machines and equipment in efficient operating conditions.
• Inspect machines and perform preventive maintenance.
• Dismantle, move and repair industrial machinery and equipment.
• Conduct modification, fabrication, and installation of industrial machinery and equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning industrial machinery and equipment.
• Follow site safety rules and processes.
